World’s highest bridge in southwest China

The Beipanjiang Bridge, in mountainous southwestern China, soars 565m (1,854ft) above a river. Chinese engineers linked the two halves of the Beipanjiang Bridge Spanning the Beipan river, the bridge sits 565 metres (1,854 feet) above the ground. It is expected to be open for traffic by the end of the year, linking the cities of Liupanshui in Guizhou province to Xuanwei in neighbouring Yunnan province.
