High-level team takes updates on preparation for Indian President’s visit

A high-level team of officials has acquired information about the preparations going on in Pokhara in connection with the Indian President Pranab Mukherjee’s scheduled visit to this touristic town on November 4.
The Indian President is arriving Nepal on November 2 in course of a three-day state visit.
The high-level team comprising the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Hitraj Pandey, the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal, the Home Secretary and high-ranking security officials, among others, took stock of the preparations for the Indian President’s visit, Chief of the Kaski District Police, Superintendent Ghanshyam Aryal, said.
On the occasion, Regional Administrator of the Western Region, Khagaraj Baral, briefed the high-level team on the works being carried out in Pokhara to making President Mukherjee’s visit to the town a grand success.
