Dr Ashish Dutta, famed in the North for being the first to offer lunch-break liposuction, faces being struck off the medical register over allegations of malpractice.The doctor has already been proven to have inappropriately advised Andrea Scott, inappropriately inserted implants and failed to refer her to another qualified surgeon for a second opinionIt is also claimed he wrongly touted himself as a “consultant cosmetic surgeon” and did not have the appropriate surgical qualifications to conduct the procedures. A hearing has yet to decide on this.Dr Dutta denies several allegations and last night told the Sunday Sun he would not be commenting while the case was ongoing.The 48-year-old carried out a string of follow-up consultations with Andrea after she tried to boost her bust to a size F at the Aesthetic Beauty Centre in Newcastle.But, after the stitches on Andrea’s left breast burst open and her implants began sagging from the wound, medical watchdogs launched a probe into the doctors practice.Now they are investigating claims he never had the correct qualifications and carried out the intricate op while he was suspended from practicing.A panel at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) has also been told he inappropriately referred to himself as a “consultant cosmetic surgeon”. - See more at
